Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya in the Yucatan Peninsula are blessed by nature. Unique underground dives in fresh water limestone caves. In this region the land is porous, so every drop of rain that falls filters through the limenstone, dragging with it minerals of the earth to form espectacular Stalagmites and Stalagtites, into an extensive underground river system that flows to the ocean.

Formed exclusively in this part of the world these sinkholes (fresh water pools) or cenotes caverns are situated in the jungle, very close to Playa del Carmen, and all along the Mayan Riviera. These diving is a unique and unforgettable experience.
Diving conditions are ideals: crystal clear freshwater, pleasant temperature, no current, supervisibility and wonderful rock formations, stalagmites, stalactites, light beams, haloclines, air domes. Water temperature all year round is 24 C - 75 F. They are in general shallow dives between 8 meters - 25 ft and 12 meters - 40 ft, there are also deep cenotes like Pit and Angelita only for Advanced Divers.

There are many options and kind of cenotes, with open entrance like Ponderosa or Jardín del Eden, Car wash or Aktunha, Calavera or Temple of Doom, Pit and Angelita or with room entrance like Chak Mool, Tajmahal, Dos Ojos, Dream Gate and Gran Cenote. There are not words to describe these gifts, you have to see, feel and explore by yourself
